What's the difference between Chapter One and Chapter Two?
Chapter One is manual: six tools, no technology. Chapter Two adds the 3-in-1 device for an assisted protocol.
Do I need to buy anything else besides the kit?
A few steps in the full HijaBrush Protocol call for a product, not just a tool, a lightweight oil, shampoo, a hair mask, conditioner, a leave-in. These aren't included in your kit; they're consumable, and part of what Vol. II is being built to provide. Your kit covers every tool-based step. The Protocol page marks clearly which is which.
Do I really need a hair dryer?
Yes. It's the one piece of equipment the Protocol depends on that isn't in your kit. Drying fully, on low heat, isn't a step to skip.
How often should I use the HijaBrush 3-in-1 electric scalp care device?
Once a day, for about 2 to 5 minutes, is the rhythm the Protocol is built around. In our book, consistency matters more than intensity. A short session followed every day does more than an occasional long one.
When will I notice a difference?
Most women feel a difference in scalp comfort within the first 12 weeks of consistent use. But remember, we focus on process, not promises.
Is red light therapy safe?
Yes. It's non-invasive and pain-free, using light energy in the 630nm range, a wavelength studied in clinical settings for over two decades. It's one part of the HijaBrush 3-in-1 electric scalp care device's system, not a standalone treatment.
Does it help with dandruff or a dry scalp?
The massage lifts buildup at the scalp, and the serum diffusion delivers hydration directly to the root as the device moves.
Will it tangle in my hair?
No. The bristles are spaced and move in a controlled, non-rotating pattern, gliding through straight, wavy, curly, and coily hair without catching. Short, gentle strokes at the scalp. Never brushed through the full length.
Is it safe for curly or coily hair?
Yes. HijaBrush is designed for all hair types and textures. Focus the device on gentle movement at the scalp, not on brushing through the lengths.
How long does the battery last?
About 2 weeks of daily use at two to five minutes a session, on a full charge. Recharges via USB-C in about an hour.
Is the device waterproof?
Yes, it is IPX7 certified. It's safe to rinse under running water, including in the shower.
How do I clean it?
Once a week with daily use, or after every few uses if you're applying oils.
• Power off and unplug before cleaning.
• Rinse the bristle side under lukewarm water.
• For buildup, a drop of gentle shampoo and a soft brush.
• Empty and rinse the oil chamber, then let it air dry before refilling.
• Pat dry and leave the device in an open, dry area before storing.
Avoid submerging the full device, harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbers, and storing it while still wet.
What oils can I use with the diffusion chamber?
Most lightweight, pure natural oils work well. Rosemary, jojoba, and peppermint are common choices among our community.
Does this work with different hair textures?
Yes. The Protocol addresses what coverage does to the scalp and hair, heat, reduced circulation, friction, which applies regardless of texture. The gestures and sequence stay the same; how your hair responds to each step may vary slightly, and that's normal.
Does this work with different styles of covering: hijab, khimar, other coverage?
Yes. The Protocol was built around the shared reality of prolonged coverage, not one specific style. If your hair and scalp are covered for extended hours, this system was designed with you in mind.
